A.    Fumigation method

 

This is a traditional method for protecting and preventing termites from attacking works before construction. This method is applied up to different types of construction works and in accordance with:

  • Construction standard 7958: 2008 by Ministry of Construction;
  • Estimate norm for termite study and treament by Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development
  • Unit price norm for termite prevention task at construction works by Vietnam Association of Forestry and Technical Science.

 

When you register fumigation termite treatment method, PestMan staff will carry out an overall field research as well as work characteristics, and customers’ special requirements. After that, we will help customers select the most suitable option.

 

The treatment will be usually carried out by the following categories:

  1. Termite treatment for old foundation at construction works or semidetached walls (if any).
  2. Fumigating foundation wall and bottom before concreting base.
  3. Preparing and treating anti-termite chemicals for trenches (termite prevention barrier) inside and outside works.
  4. Treating anti-termite chemicals for the work surface before concreting the bottom.
  5. Treating anti-termite chemicals for the floor surface of upper floors before paving.
  6. Treating anti-termite chemicals for wall, foot of the wall, anti-subsidence fissure, underground wire path, underground tube inside the wall etc.
  7. Treating anti-termite chemicals for wooden structures before installing on the work.


Fumigators include Agenda 2.5EC (Bayer – Germany)   or Lenfos 50EC (Hockley – UK) . Standard 5-liter solution per square meter is used. Guarantee period is up to method selected by customers.

B.    Termite prevention by drilling-injecting method

 

1.    Setting up anti-termite barrier outside the work.

  • Using concrete drilling tool to drill holes of 18-20mm-diameter in 2 rows at 200-300mm-interval on the surface along foot of the wall outside the wok (drilling holes being arranged unequally like saw-toothed shape) with 20-cm interval per hole. After that, spraying anti-termite chemicals 2% 1.5-liter solution per hole by standard.
  • Spraying 2% anti-termite solution on the foundation surface before filling, standard 1.5 liters per m2.

 

2.    Setting up anti-termite barrier inside the work

  • Using concrete drilling tool to drill holes of 16-20mm-diameter 30cm deep into foot of the wall inside the work at one-meter interval per three holes. Spraying anti-termite chemicals of 2% 1.5-liter solution per hole.
  • Spraying anti-termite chemicals on chinks and surface of drainage and wire path with 5 liters of 2% anti-termite solution per meter.


3.    Surface treatment inside the work.

Spraying anti-termite chemicals on the whole surface inside the work before concreting (or paving) under the standard of 5-liter solution per square meter.
