One work which has been constructed completely and even concretely does not mean that this has never been attacked by termites. In fact, many concrete works are still attacked by termites. Solutions for such works are as follows:

A.    Termite treatment by spreading method

1.  Step 1: Conducting a field work and classifying termites

2.  Step 2: Placing bait traps

  • Determining the position of bait traps (where termites gather to destroy much), then placing at specific locations where termites are available. In case termites are destroying high areas, hanging bait traps on the fixed rack.

  • The number of bait traps depends on termites’ destruction levels and treatment locations.

  • Periodically checking bait traps within 7 – 10 days.

  • During the check period, do not move or influence bait traps.

3.  Step 3: Scattering chemicals

15 – 20 days after placing bait traps, opening these bait traps and scatter PMC 90  on termites on wood surfaces then put them back. Worker termites who undertake the labors of foraging will bring this chemical to their nest and pass it to the whole nest. Scattering a sufficient amount of PMC 90 which will not kill worker termites immediately but still enough to kill the whole nest.

4.  Step 4: Fumigating
5 - 7 days after scattering PMC 90, cleaning and collecting bait traps. After that, fumigating locations under treatment with Agenda 2.5EC to prevent termites.

B.    Fumigating warehouse, workshops and wooden structure

  • Using Agenda 2.5EC  or Cislin 2.5EC   to fumigate slots and chinks along the floor and foot of the wall. Pumping, injecting or directly fumigating the surface or around wooden structures etc.
  • Using concrete drilling tools to drill holes along foot of the wall inside (and outside the house if possible or as per customers’ requirements). This drilling will influence the floor structure and aesthetics.
  • Using pressure pumps or other specialized tools to pump foundation treatment chemicals through drilled holes. These chemicals will penetrate and stay under the foundation to kill termites and prevent them from returning.
  • Stopping drilled holes with cement, repainting the floor and cleaning for site hand-over.

C.    Exterra termite bait system:

You can also install Exterra termite bait system – a product from the USA. Stations of the system installed around the house will create a protection belt for your house from the outside. This is a comprehensive management method to protect your property forever, and especially environment, human and pet-friendly. (more information)
